Basler Fasnacht 2018

The carnival of Basle (Switzerland) - called Basler Fasnacht - is not a fun fair (that would be the Herbschtmaess in Autumn) but a REAL carnival. It is the very last carnival in the worldwide calendar of such events. The three days of frenzy take place on the Monday thru Wednesday following Ash Wednesday, placing it in the middle of the first week of Lent. The loud and colorful spectacle cannot be described in a couple of phrases: come, see & hear for yourself!

Basler Fasnacht 2018

Die Basler Fasnacht ist jedes Jahr der letzte Karneval im weltweiten Eventkalender. Die verrueckten drei Tage finden Montag bis Mittwoch nach dem Aschermittwoch statt, inmitten der ersten Fastenwoche, wenn es ueberall sonst von Rio bis Duesseldorf, Koeln & Mainz schon vorbei ist. Das laute und farbenfreudige Spektakel kann nicht in ein paar Saetzen beschrieben werden: selber kommen, sehen, hoeren & staunen!
